Dr. Arthur Robillo Salvador, RN, MD, DPBEM, FPCEM
Vice President & Clinic Director
Philippine South Hyperbarics & Wellness Clinic
Dr. Arthur Robillo Salvador is an Emergency Medicine specialist, Hyperbaric Medicine physician, educator, researcher, and healthcare executive dedicated to advancing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), wound care, and regenerative medicine in the Philippines.
Among the Philippines’ pioneering fellowship-trained Hyperbaric Medicine physicians, Dr. Salvador was the first graduate of the Fellowship Training Program in Diving, Hyperbaric Medicine, and Difficult Wounds at Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC)—the country’s inaugural fellowship program in the specialty. Through his clinical practice, physician education, research, and healthcare leadership, he has become one of the leading advocates for advancing modern Hyperbaric Medicine in Mindanao.
His clinical expertise encompasses Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Diving Medicine, difficult wound management, emergency and critical care, regenerative medicine, and the treatment of complex conditions where tissue oxygenation plays a vital role in healing. Guided by evidence-based medicine and a commitment to clinical excellence, he combines advanced technology with individualized patient care to help optimize recovery and improve quality of life.
As Vice President and Clinic Director of the Philippine South Hyperbarics & Wellness Clinic, Dr. Salvador provides executive leadership, clinical governance, and medical oversight for the clinic’s Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, regenerative medicine, and wellness programs. He has been instrumental in building the clinic’s medical framework, establishing treatment protocols, promoting a culture of patient safety, and helping shape its vision as a regional center of excellence for Hyperbaric Medicine and advanced healing therapies.
Dr. Salvador’s commitment to healthcare extends well beyond the hyperbaric chamber. He currently serves as Training Officer of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cotabato Regional Medical Center, and a consultant staff of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Davao Regional Medical Center, where he leads physician training, curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and the professional formation of future Emergency Medicine specialists in the Philippines.
His passion for building institutions is equally reflected in his role as Founder and Past President of the Mindanao Emergency Medicine Specialist Associates (MEMSA). Under his leadership, MEMSA established the first hospital-based private practice model for Emergency Medicine in Mindanao, creating a collaborative model that strengthened specialist practice and enhanced emergency healthcare delivery across the region.
A firm believer that innovation should always be supported by scientific evidence, Dr. Salvador has actively contributed to Hyperbaric Medicine research. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as the principal author of Southern Philippines Medical Center’s Compassionate Use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for COVID-19 Severe Protocol, contributing to one of the Philippines’ earliest clinical experiences investigating HBOT as an adjunctive treatment for moderate to severe COVID-19 with acute respiratory distress syndrome. His work has been presented at both national and international scientific meetings, including the joint scientific assembly of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the Aerospace Medical Association in Reno, Nevada, USA.
Widely respected as an educator and speaker, Dr. Salvador has delivered lectures throughout the Philippines on Hyperbaric Medicine, Diving Medicine, wound care, Emergency Medicine, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, and resuscitation science. His dedication to education reflects his belief that advancing medicine begins with empowering physicians through continuous learning and evidence-based practice.
His professional achievements include ranking among the Top 10 in the Philippine Board of Emergency Medicine Written Diplomate Examination and Top 8 in the Oral Diplomate Examination, together with multiple national recognitions for excellence in Emergency Medicine, medical education, research, and pioneering contributions to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the Philippines.
Dr. Salvador’s philosophy is founded on a simple principle: healing should never stop at treating disease—it should restore function, preserve quality of life, and help patients return to living fully, supporting health expectancy. This philosophy continues to guide his work as he advances Hyperbaric Medicine, regenerative healthcare, physician education, and clinical innovation throughout Mindanao and the Philippines.
